Eastenders Logo

We believe that the cost of uniform should not be a barrier for any family and so we only ask that your child have a school logo displayed on their jumper, cardigan and fleece, these can be purchased from the above shops.

We also have available, from September 2023 a sew-on patch from the school office for a small charge, which means you, can buy uniform from alternative sources.

We strongly recommend that ALL uniform and other belongings, such as lunch boxes, shoes are permanently named. With 630 pupils, items can only be returned to children if they are clearly named.

Lost items will be placed in the lost property box in the main reception foyer, which is emptied and items disposed of termly. We often offer pre-loved uniform to support both our environmental aims and our families.

Please note that children are NOT allowed to wear nail varnish, false nails or make-up at school.

Jewellery

On the grounds of health and safety, pupils are not allowed to wear jewellery at school, except a watch and one plain small stud worn at the bottom of each ear lobe.

Please note that earrings and watches MUST be removed for all PE lessons. Your child must be able to remove these independently; alternatively, earrings should not be worn to school on PE days.  Earrings cannot be taped for health and safety reasons.

Should your child wear religious or cultural clothing, this should be suitable for the activity, so please do come and speak with us if you have any concerns or would like further information.

If you are thinking of having your child’s ears pierced, we strongly recommend that this is carried out at the beginning of the summer holidays to ensure that earrings can be safely removed by September.

Hairstyles

Hair should be of a natural colour. Long hair must be tied back for all pupils, for the entire school day. Our rules state that hair styles have a smart and tidy appearance, not the latest fashion. Hairstyles should be without extremes of style (i.e no mohicans/shaved designs) or colour.
